Dr. Perricone's "No Foundation Foundation" Giveaway For JennySue Makeup Readers

Okay ladies, this is very exciting because I am teaming up with the world-renowned dermatologist and anti-aging expert, Dr. Perricone, and doing a free giveaway to ONE lucky reader!

I've been a fan of Perricone since I was a makeup girl on the floor at Nordstrom in Atlanta over 9 years ago. This genius skin-guy has numerous patents on skin treatments and is focused on reversing the aging process internally and externally.

The doctor and JennySue Makeup are giving away to one lucky blog reader, the "No Foundation Foundation with SPF 30" - a $50 value!! Here is what you can expect from this product:

  • Provides translucent coverage while correcting skin undertones. When I first applied it, there was a slight yellowish tint to it, but it immediately sinks into whatever your skin tone after rubbing it in.

  • Softens the look of fine lines and gives a naturally healthy appearance without looking cakey like a true foundation. More tinted moisturizer-like but feels lighter.

  • Contains a non-chemical SPF 30. A must to keep away the aging process.

  • The initial smell of the product is almost self-tanner like, but fades away seconds after applying it. Small price to pay for such a good for you product!

Check out my before picture (above). I only have on eye makeup, not even lipstick or gloss-wow that's taking one for the team.

This is my after the application (above) of No Foundation Foundation. Still no blush or lipcolor. I just didn't want any other color to distract from what the product delivered. This is a wonderful product for those wanting a low maintenance look with healthy skin properties.

All you have to do to win this product is to leave me a comment explaining in a few words:

  1. Why do you need a translucent product like this?

  2. What have you used in the past that didn't do what it promised?

The winner with the best answer to both questions will be chosen at the end of 10 days from today, and the winner must be from within the United States (Sorry to all my international readers, still love ya!). So who wants a better skin solution?? Can't wait to read what you all have to say.

You look beautiful with or without make-up!

Here are my answers:
Why do you need a translucent product like this? I have some slight scarring on my cheek that bothers me...and it's hard to find a product that covers it and isn't cakey. The SPF 30 is a huge bonus!

What have you used in the past that didn't do what it promised? I have used the same Lancome foundation for years. Don't get me wrong - I really like it. But rather than just cover, it seems like this products offers some great skin healthy benefits.

You look great with or without foundation.

To answer your question:

1. Why do you need a translucent product like this?

I really do not have good skin and I need to fake it. As I am working in a conservative environment (research lab), I prefer to look fresh and natural instead of looking made-up. Also, non-chemical sunscreen is really wonderful as my sensitive skin is reactive to chemical sunscreen.

2. What have you used in the past that didn't do what it promised?

Let's see: I used to have a bottle of MAC tinted moisturizer, which made me look great but also gave me huge breakouts. After that, I mixed foundation with moisturizer to make a tinted moisturizer but that is really time-consuming.

Why do you need a translucent product like this?
I would love a product like this because I have been using tinted moisturizers and don't really want to graduate to real foundation yet, but most everything on the market is too pink-based for me. I also have a problem with periodic breakouts and I'm sure anything by Dr. Perricone would treat my skin very well.

What have you used in the past that didn't do what it promised?
I have tried a number of tinted moisturizers, foundations and even mineral makeup, but everything looks fake or pink and only makes it look like I'm doing a terrible job of covering up blemishes. Most days I just end up going without any makeup base--just moisturizer, primer, blush, eyeliner and mascara.

1. Why do I need this... because I truly have nothing else like it (ha, jennysue are you laughing)
2. What have I tried in the past: I honestly love 'the great pretender' by Origins... it is an all natural self tanner....

You look great even w/ not lipstick or anything else!! :) I am loving your blog!

Jennifer, you look great with or without the 'No Foundation Foundation'!!! Seems like a great product!

1. I'm definitely looking for a more natural look these days. I'm turning 30 in 34 DAYS and don't want to look it.

2. I've never used ANYTHING! I never use any type of correcting cream, moisturizer, anything. So, I decided when I turned 30 that I would HAVE to start using.... this is a great way for me to try a new product!! ;)

Loving your blog as always!! It gives such great tips!!!

Love this post.. love that you showed what the product actually does!

I need a translucent product like No Foundation Foundation because I have fairly young, still oily skin that looks TERRIBLE with too much makeup. I don't wanna look like a barbie doll!

What have you used in the past that didn't do what it promised? Uhhh.... the list is way too long. I'm never a fan of Lancome's face stuff, but their eye products are amazing.

This post is awesome!! Love the before and after shots.

I need a product like this because I hate traditional foundation that makes my skin feel all sticky and gross. I've used Clinique foundation before and just wasn't having it.. fingers crossed I win!

What a very cool product! My answers are..
1. As the mother of 3 children, this seems like an excellent quick and easy product to use that will not take too much of my time...kids can get into a LOT of things within 5 mintues (as I am sure you know)!
2. I was so excited to use the new vibrating mascara by Maybelline, however all it did was make a complete mess of my eye. I will stick with the traditional sweep of the eye with the "old fashioned" mascara!

Hi :)

1) Why do you need a translucent product like this?

I have fairly smooth skin. However, my skin is getting older and not for the better! It has some light spots and isn't as soft as it once was. I can't wear egregious makeup anymore.

2) What have you used in the past that didn't do what it promised?

I used Smashbox Liquid foundation and Stila concealer for many years. It got the job done (but with a little more time than I really had) but now it's very obvious I have heavy makeup on. The minearla makeup doesn't stay on my face very well so it's hard to get away from liquids. help!
