Mixed Metal Makeup

There has always seemed to be a cardinal rule that you shouldn't wear silver and gold together, but wow times have changed and it's time to mix up the metals ladies!!  And aren't rules made to be broken anyway??! YES- especially when it comes to makeup- there are no rules.

So I figured I would try my hand at mixing some of my metallic colored makeup together and put it all on ONE face- MINE!!  Here are some photos of how it turned out.  I like my multi metal face;-)

Metallic products used:

Eyes: 

Kat Von D "Love and Fury" palette- holy bible, slayer, and glock.  

This was my use of various tones of silver.

Mark cosmetic metalliner in "bronze edge."  This was me using the color bronze.

Stila "Golightly" eyeshadow pan, used on top of mark liner.  This is also a bronze color.

Cheeks & skin:

MAC "fleur power" blush 

Becca Cosmetics Loose shimmer powder in "mermaid"($20).  

This gorgeous fine shimmer powder is my gold usage along the top of my cheekbones 

as shown in the pic above. 

Lips:

Becca Cosmetics lipgloss in "afterglow" ($26). This gloss is my copper metal used on the lips.

So not only do I like the metals on my face, but I like them on my wrist!!  I've become a big fan of leather cuff bracelets with a bit of metal mixed in these days. These are my two latest purchases- I want to wear them with tee shirts to girly lightweight femme tops to add a bit of edge to them!! I will wear them with everything this spring and summer.  These are shots of my wrist over my mirrored tray of other bracelets and cuffs that I have displayed on my dresser for easy access.

I like to think I am channeling my "cool" mother of three vibe, with Mrs. Victoria Beckham  (although she is prego with her 4th!) who is sporting the Hermes leather cuff studded bracelet in the picture above.   What a stylish mom she is!!
