Monday Inspiration

I am very inspired by this being a Monday.  Lots of people talk about someone "having a case of the Mondays" because it means back to the work week for a lot of people, which does NOT equate to a good time.  They have enjoyed their weekend off from work and it was much more relaxing than a typical week of work headaches.  Work headaches can be anything from being a customer service rep (which is never fun and there are always road bumps or nasty unhappy customers), coworker or boss issues, tackling meeting unrealistic sales goals or expectations, or just the usual hum drum of a monotonous week of the "same ole same ole."

However for me as a stay at home mom with a makeup business on the side, I NEVER get a break during the week or weekend, so I try to flip the script and enjoy my Mondays.  Monday is seriously no different from a Saturday or Sunday bc my kids are work around the clock and they don't stop at 5pm or start at 8am.  They are open 24 hours, which means I am too.  

So today I am relishing my Monday while my kids are at camp for 3 hrs (20 minutes is what it feels like though!) and I'm enjoying a little relaxation and inspiration today.  I've got my cafe mocha, my Inc. and British Glamour magazine (for some reason I love this UK version bc of it's smaller size and content seems more cutting edge than our U.S. version), obviously my computer, and a window looking out upon my city's beautiful downtown.  It is quiet in this Starbucks, with only the hum of the work trucks and buses passing by out side of the window- which is somehow a really cool and soothing sound to me!!  

The Beckham's are now a family of 6!

On a slightly random note, I was excited to hear about the Beckham's adding a new member to their family this weekend- a little girl born Harper Seven Beckham!  I love everything I read about Victoria Beckham (and her out of this world attractive hubby, David), and her ability to juggle her fashion empire, Victoria by Victoria Beckham, while also sounding like a super involved mom to her 3 boys.  And now she has a girl- can you imagine the style this little female is going to grow up having??!  Hopefully Victoria will get inspired to create a kids clothing line after experiencing how much fun it is to dress a little girl;-)  We can wait and see!
