This Is What Saturday Night Looks Like...

Saturday nights used to be a BIG deal when I was in college and newly married with no kids.  It was the night I got all dressed up, let my hair down, and went out to new restaurants and clubs, and didn't get home until well after midnight- because it would be lame to go home before then!  Now that I'm married (over 10 years now) and 3 kids later, this is what my usual Saturday night looks like...

And you know what, I LOVE it this way!!!  Of course, every now and then this mama needs one night away to peel myself from the couch and know that I'm still able to keep my eyes open past 10pm just to prove to myself I can still do it.  But I'm perfectly happy with my low key weekend evenings of staying in and catching up on my magazine reading and redoing my nails that have taken a beating from the week before of dishes, laundry, and bathing children-constantly!  One of my newest beauty purchases is shown above, my Deborah Lippmann polish in color "between the sheets" ($16) which is a rock-n-roll purple-ish fuschia cream color- obsessed with it already-the shape of the bottle is so fancy too!!  

Lifestyles change as we age and have kids, and we must change with it, embrace it, and enjoy every minute of it!!
