Put The FUN Back Into Your Beauty Routine

So many of us get into a "makeup rut" where we do the same ole same ole look, everrry singggle daaay.  I understand this is due to many factors such as:  1. Pressed for time where we need to go with a look we are comfortable with because we don't have the energy to experiment or 2. We don't want to spend money on new products we're not sure are going to work for us or 3. Maybe it's a little bit of both. But like I always say, "What FUN is life if we don't step out of our comfort zone and try something NEW??"

{Applying makeup has been fun since the 1930's!}

Here are are a few products that would certainly make putting on your makeup more enjoyable!!

1.  Everyone needs a mirror to look into to apply their makeup.  Why not get one that makes you feel like a Broadway star every time??
 {Vanity Girl Hollywood Starlet lighted vanity mirror, $299.}

2.  Eyebrows are the framework of the face and make the biggest difference in your overall look when they are clean, sculpted, and filled in.  This kit is the answer to taking away the mystery behind grooming your brows on the go which includes, powders, waxes, and even stencils.
{Anastasia's Beauty Express For Brows and Eyes in blonde or brunette, $39.50.}

3.  Eye shadow palettes are a must have for any woman that doesn't have the time, energy, or vision to pick out multiply single shades that go together.  This one focuses on beautiful jewel tones that can seriously be worn on any eye color and skin tone.  The trick to wearing this palette is to apply the bold colors along the upper lid then add a more neutral (aka, safe!) tone along the lower lashes.

{Urban Decay Mariposa palette, $39.}

4. I am forever reading from beauty snobs that no one over 18 should wear glitter nail polish as it looks too juvenile and unprofessional.  Well, I say, those people are stick in the muds and haven't tried the right shade from this chic line of polishes by Deborah Lippmann.  Even if you go by that stuffy mentality, at least try this polish on your toenails that can be covered up by pumps if you're in the workplace.  I promise once the shoes come off your glitter toes will make you smile.

{Deborah Lippmann exclusive glitter polishes at Nordstrom, $18.}

Which of these products do you think looks like the most FUN??

I'm totally in a makeup rut. I'm going to convince my fiance that I need a mirror like that to spice up my look :)

You are so right, almost every day I use the same shadows or at least the same shades even though I have tons to choose from! I'm always thinking, oh I'll try it next time. I SO do not agree with anyone who says glitter nail polish is for youngsters, they simply don't know what they are missing out on :)>
