It is still hot as hades outside and feeling like summer, but I am ready to embrace FALL. With all of the new clothing trends, beauty products, magazines, and advertising campaigns out right now, I'm ready to ditch some of my old beauty routine and change things up by bringing in some new life!
{China Glaze "Swanky Silk," $7}
First out, I'm ditching the bright obnoxious neon POLISH of old and bringing in metallics. I'm not quite ready for the dark plums and wines, so I think metallic gold is the best compromise. I am in love with this color. Honestly, it looks super almost yellow gold in this pic, when in real life, it changes to a rose gold shade depending on the lighting. Either way, this is the exact change I needed that is going to help me transition into cooler weather and deep rich autumn fabrics.
{L'Oreal Sublime Mousse in "Pure Darkest Brown," $8}
{My AFTER is on the left, BEFORE is on the right. }
Secondly, I'm ditching my auburn based brown hair color I've had for over a year now, and going back to my beloved darkest brown hair color. I loved my Emma Stone knockoff hair color while I had it, but when I get the itch to change things up with my look, the hair cut or color is sometimes the best way to scratch that itch. Since I wanted an allover color change instead of highlights (and um, I was in desperate need to hide multiple gray hairs! yikes!), I took the at - home hair color plunge. And well, financially this was the only option. I can't cut my own hair, so that is where I'm going to choose to spend good money.
At home hair color doesn't intimidate me when I'm doing a color so close to my natural, and I used to dye my hair myself for years starting back in high school. This mousse by L'Oreal was easy to use and the color turned out super shiny and I feel like a new woman!! I can't wait to adjust my makeup looks with my new dark and lovely hair! Odd timing that Katy Perry just showed up at the MTV Video Music Awards last night back with her old hair color that looks like my new one...
{Katy ditched the purple and blue hair of old. I think she looks fab! Via}
Now if I could just adjust the temperature outside to make it feel more like fall to go along with my new mani and hair color!
What are you itching to change up for the upcoming Fall season - hair, makeup, clothing, nails, etc?

Fall seems to come a bit early this year, I think. I like the dark color on you, so cute :)

The hair color looks great on you. I have to get my roots touched up bad! I'm hoping I can do that next week.
This season I can see myself getting some more long flowly tops, or short dresses to wear with leggings and boots, or tights and boots. I say flowly because I'm going to be having a postpartum body to deal with come Mid November. Thanks for stopping by my blog. I love meeting other mommies who love fashion and makeup and have 2+ kids lol.
I was so shocked when I tried the mouse hair dye for the first time...it's SO damn easy! I applied it in my bedroom...on carpet...and not a drop. The color looks good on ya :)

@Francis- thanks a bunch, and I hear ya on the postpartum body!! sounds like you have a good fashion plan though:)
@Megan- it WAS easy right??!! doing it in your bedroom on carpet though- you are a risk taker girl!!
Your nail polish reminds me of the new Fergie Wet N Wild polish... It's called Grammy Gold. I found it in Target for 3.49 but there was a $1 off coupon in this Sundays newspaper :)
