I often get asked, "Jennifer, if you only had less than 10 minutes to do your makeup, what would you do?" Well, that sounds like my worst nightmare, but here's my answer. I basically slept walked thru my makeup routine early this morning...

Products used to get my 6:45am face. From top to bottom, you can shop my look!

I'll be honest, I really dislike doing my makeup that quickly and not being able to take my time. But when a quick job is required, my biggest things are:
- tame and groom the unruly night time brows,
- to make sure my skin doesn't look dull,
- cover up the horrid under eye circles,
- and make sure that I've got plenty of color on my cheeks (which falls under making sure my complexion doesn't look dull and tired!).

This is about as simple as I get when it comes to doing my makeup. There's no way I would feel comfortable doing anything less than this and to be quite honest, I'm wishing there had been time for eye liner!! But sometimes we have to make sacrifices in order to be on time for meetings!
What does your 6:45am face look like? Does it require more or less products than I use?

My 6:45am face consists of a quick brush on of Bare Minerals (BM) Matte Foundation, BM Bronzer (aka Warmth), BM Mineral Veil.
Urban Decay eyeshadow- Smog on my lids and Sin on my brow bone- blend blend blend with my fingers.
Curl the lashes and add CoverGirl Lash Blast in brownish black, use wand to tame/add color to the brows.
Lip gloss in the car and voila! 10 minutes, tops!
I'm really loving that blush, by the way. Might have to add it to my Christmas list!
I was standing in Sephora at noon holding Too Faced Matte Eye Collection but bailed at the last minute. When I got in my car and checked my phone, I saw your post. I can't believe I didn't buy it when I was there!!
Your 10 min face is impressive. So, you skipped eyeliner and primers? What else did you skimp on? You really can't tell!!
My 10 min face (which is most every morning) is smashbox primer, Loreal True Match Foundation, Sonia Kashuk Brow Alert, Benefit Erase Paste, Too Faced Natural or Naked Eye, Urban Decay 24/7 eyeliner, Diorshow Mascara, Nars Orgasm blush.
You are a girl after my own heart! I hear 10 minutes is the average time a woman spends on makeup, but I really (really!) like being slow and getting it just right. Application is supposed to be fun, not rushed or sloppy. And it's an art form, yes? I will make any excuse necessary :) My 10 minute face is either TM or UD Naked Foundation, super-heavy concealer (FYI my 3 1/2 y.o. screams, sleep walks, and sleep talks most nights...can we start a tired mamas club?), Laura Mercier setting powder, Sonia Kashuk Golden Bronzer, blush, mid-tone brown eyeshadow, curling my eyelashes, l.o.a.d.s. of mascara, brow pencil, brow gel, and Sonia Kashuk Currant lipstick. Less attention to detail, more sweeps of color!
Hi, Jennifer. I'm a school counselor & yoga instructor who loves to play with make-up. I'm thinking about doing weddings throughout the summer. Do you have a train case you would recommend for a newbie? Thanks! Xoxo Leslie
@KathyStevens - oh pooh!! Go back and get that matte palette, it's awesome:) Yes I did skip eyeliner, but primer wise, the BB Cream has a primer in it so I just swept it over my lids instead of adding a second primer.
@IamAlisonM - yes, let's start a tired mamas who love makeup club!
@Leslie- I have 2 train cases from Sephora (one a silver like tackle box the other a black leather one) and both are pretty small. However, I have seen some other MUA's buy cheapo real fishing tackle boxes from Wal Mart, that have great storage options and pull out trays!
