It's No "Myth" Nude Lips Are Sexy

I did a little play on words here with the word MYTH, because I finally purchased myself a tube of the famous nude lipstick by MAC with the same name. I've read about this shade all over the blog-o-sphere and just had to have it.  Especially since nothing goes better with my beloved smokey eyes than a simple nude lippy!!

{MAC "myth" lipstick, $14.50)

Now after I received my tube in the mail and busted it open to immediately try it on my bare lips, I was kinda shocked.  It was REALLY NUDE, almost to the point of being beigey-white.  That wasn't going to really work for me and my currently pale matching skin.  So I did a little recon work, and started over.

{Urban Decay's "illegal" 24/7 lip liner was added underneath to adjust the nude-ness!}

I lined and filled in my lips with my "illegal" lip liner ($19) to give my lips more of a rosey nude base.  Then I tried my new purchase again, and voila!  I love the satin finish of this lip color, because it's not too matte, yet not too shiny like a gloss.

{A small adjustment made a BIG difference on my now perfect nude mouth!!}

If you don't believe me on just how sexy a nude mouth can be, check these celeb ladies out for size...

{Mila Kunis}

{Jennifer Lawrence}

{Kate Moss}

{JennySue Makeup - HA!! Gotcha!!}

There are a ton of versions of nude lipsticks and glosses on the market, it just takes some trial and error to see which ones actually work for you. Eventually with a bit more color to my skin, I think I'll love this shade even more as summer creeps in.  However, if I were a lot fairer, this probably wouldn't work for me and make my mouth actually disappear!  But like I said, "it's not a myth, nude lips are sexy!!"  And this mama of 3 can always use a little more sexy in her life for those days when I have to deal with poopy diapers, homework, and temper tantrums!!

So since I'm always searching for that IT nude lip color, share with me what your favorite is!!

Birchbox Delivers My New Fave Skincare Obsession

I was honored to have been asked to do a weeks worth of guest posts for the Birchbox blog a few weeks ago, and as a token of their appreciation, they kindly sent me one of their boxes to try out.  Well, what a fab gift, because now I'm going to have to become a member!  This box was packed with some really cool new beauty & skincare products!!  One sample in particular that I have become currently obsessed with is dermalogica's Daily Microfoliant.

{dermalogica Daily Microfoliant and the cute brown Birchbox it came in!}

This little skin care treat, was actually not that little to have been a sample size- it was actually .45 oz worth of dry powder, and it's gone a loooong way so far and is still going.  This item alone would have been worth the 10 bucks in my book!  This exfoliant powder is gentle enough to use every day if you wish (which most exfoliants are not) and is good for all skin types.  It's a rice based enzyme powder which gives it that safe non-irritating feeling.

{Just add warm water to this powder and it magically turns into a rich paste.}

Although it says you can use it every day, I use it about 4-5 times a week and have seen a considerable difference in my skin texture already.  The surface of my skin has started feeling much smoother and softer and I would say brighter (just like the packaging says - imagine that, truth in advertising!!).  Other powerful good for you ingredients in this product are, tea tree oil, ginkgo biloba extract, and salicylic acid (keeps the pimples away!).

{My skin the morning after using this product.}

This is a not-so-great picture (lighting/coloring is horrid), kinda can't believe I'm posting it, but I wanted to see if you could tell how smooth my skin surface is.  The only thing I like about this pic, is that the shiny appearance along the bridge of my nose, forehead, and tops of my cheeks, is actually the light bouncing off my smooth skin!!  I have zero moisturizer or makeup products on (ok, my brows are done- you know me!!) and the fact that light bounces off is a huge plus.  Needless to say, I will be ordering myself this full sized product ($50) once my super sized sample from Birchbox runs out.

Have you tried this award winning skincare product?  And who out there gets these Birchbox treats delivered to their door every month??

"Orange" You Glad For Makeup

I've really been into the color ORANGE lately, which is no surprise if you've read my posts here and here.

{Orange Kalanchoe plant that's sitting on my kitchen table.}

This plant I just adorned my kitchen with, was the main thing that inspired this post today (I can find makeup inspiration in almost anything!).  The color alone made me so happy the moment I put it in my eating area at home, that I figured, "I bet this hue would do the same thing for my face!"  I then headed to my fave site Pinterest, which you can follow me on, and low and behold, a beautiful orange inspired cheek and lip combo!

{Just the right amount of wearable orange!}

Now I wanted to create a version of this look but with a slight bit of a pinkish undertone, as I don't personally think I look good in true orange.  So since I don't own the perfect orange colored lipstick like "Morange" by MAC, I decided to play mixologist, and make my own pink based orange lip and cheek color with what I already had.

Here's how I did it:

{Key items for my look}
{Left to right - MAC "Lady Danger" lipstick, TopShop "Confession," Stila shadow pan in "Oasis" and Cover Girl & Olay Simply Ageless concealer in yellow/corrector color #230}

{Let the mixing begin}
{Blending on my hand, the red/orange MAC with the pink coral from TopShop}

{Create a base on bare lips first with a yellow based concealer}
{Because yellow + red = ORANGE!}

{Double whammy!}
 {Using my new pink based orange concoction high on my cheekbones AND on my lips!}

{Finished product - Now for the eyes!}
 {Used my gold Stila shadow on my lids as the perfect compliment to my orange lips/cheeks.}

{Finished Product!}
{Pay no attention to the hair- I obviously didn't!}

I'm pretty happy with the way this homemade shade turned out.  It's not quite as orange as it could be, but it's wearable enough for my fair to medium skin tone.  If you have darker skin, you could probably go for a true orange and feel just as good about it!!

"Orange" you glad for makeup?!!  Do you like this idea of orange on cheeks and lips?

Start The "Insanity"

Swimsuit season is rapidly approaching, and honestly, that scares me more than any horror film or haunted house.  We are officially headed on a beach trip in 9 weeks..."yay" and "yikes" at the same time!!  To say I haven't done any true form of exercise in the past 6 months would be an understatement.  Besides lifting my 1.5 year old in and out of her crib/car seat or opening and closing the fridge 90 times a day to get myself or one of my 3 little people a snack, that's about the bulk of true bending and lifting I do.  But I am aware, all of the makeup tricks in the world can't camouflage zero flabby muscle tone, or distract from it while wearing a two piece!

{The original fitness fanatic, Susan Powter via her site}

Susan Powter would probably tell me to quit with the excuses and get to work.  If any of you are in your mid 30's (ahem, such as myself) then you are probably familiar with the saying of "STOP THE INSANITY!" made famous by workout motivator, NY Times best selling author and mom of 3, Susan back in the 90's.  What always caught my eye about this energetic lady (here's a snip of an old motivational talk she did if you're not familiar with her), was her look of buzzed bleached hair, bright lipstick, and perfectly arched brows.  It always leads back to makeup right??  Not to mention her tight bod she got after shedding over 130 pounds.  Well now in 2012, I apparently have a new exercise mentor to follow...

{Shaun T of "Insanity." He doesn't look serious about fitness does he?!}

So as I ponder how I'm going to get myself in shape by beach time, my husband informs me he has ordered "Insanity" that he wants me to join him in on in the next 60 days.  Wait, when it came to exercising, I always associated it with STOPping the Insanity, not STARTing it!!!!  Now I've started the P90X program twice, and didn't complete it either time.  So I'm hoping since this program is only 60 days, and 40 minutes per video, that certainly I can stick to it!!  When something says "it's the hardest program you will EVER put in your DVD player," that is slightly intimidating.

Although I am not overweight by any means, it still doesn't mean I am physically fit.  I need to increase my stamina and tighten EVERYTHING up...everything!  I've always longed to complete one of the workout programs to say I've done it, so hopefully I can follow through with this one.  Third time is the charm right???

Have you tried "Insanity"?  If so, what can I expect??  And please tell me there are some of you out there that remember who Susan Powter is....

It Was Bound To Happen...

It was bound to happen sooner or later.  I'm actually surprised it took her 18 months to get her little paws into my beloved products...

{The evidence of little fingernails in my tarte jewelry box palette.}

My sweet Vivian has been watching me and soaking in my morning makeup routine - it's what we do together while the boys are at school and I get ready for the day.  She plays with the makeup brushes, she watches the mascara being applied, and she probably knows my hair drying techniques.  It's amazing the difference between my boys and her at this age and how she gets waaay more into mommy's makeup routine than they ever did.  They just wanted to sweep the bathroom floors with my big Chanel makeup bronzer brush, whereas she has picked up exactly what those brushes are used for.

The following pictures are of actual events, these were not staged...

 {Just applying a little translucent powder, that's all.}

{Viv in action, putting on her "makeup" face!}

Backtracking to the day of the crime scene in my bathroom, this was the reaction I got from her when I politely asked her "not to PLAY" in mommy's makeup and proceeded to take the box of broken shadows away from her.  Meltdown city for at least a solid 6 minutes.  It was so dramatic, I just had to take her picture!

{Real crocodile tears.  I couldn't help but chuckle a bit at this reaction!}

{I wish you could see the plums and blue shadows embedded in her nails.
Instead she's showing me her heartbroken face!!}

In some small way, it warms my heart that my daughter has taken a liking to the art of makeup!!  Of course she has the plastic pretend lipstick and mirror set, but unfortunately, those just won't do.  Why would you want plastic when you can have Bobbi Brown??  If you want to see my recommendations for age appropriate  makeup for young girls (not one year olds though- give me some credit!) you can check out this post here.

I get it Viv, guess I'll be buying you the Bonne Bell Dr. Pepper Lipsmacker sooner than I had thought...

Do you remember your very first makeup product??

25 Things About JennySue Makeup

Ok, I've got to give credit where it's due for this idea.  I religiously read celeb magazines (it's a sickness I think) and Us Weekly happens to be one of my favorites.  In every issue they have a page devoted to a different Hollywood Star called "25 Things you Don't Know About Me" and I always find it interesting what kind of info each celeb gives up.  So here is JennySue Makeup's version!!

{Vivian has gotten good at posing for the camera. "Lady Danger" lipstick by MAC on me.}

1. I am an only child.  But thankfully I've always been told I don't act like one- I think that's a compliment!
2. I could eat pizza, macaroni and cheese, and cheese dip every day.
3. I met my husband at a fraternity/sorority function back in college and it was love at first sight..on my part!
4. I could listen to Christmas music all year round.
5. I have teeny bopper-like crushes on David Beckham and Adam Levine.  I think it's the tattoos. This is no secret to my husband.

{Ladies, you're welcome for this one.}

6.  My recent makeup crush is on Blake Lively.  She gets it right every time.
7.  My first pet was a black and white cat named Sweet Feet- she lived to be 21 years old.
8.  White wine probably makes me a better person.
9.  I don't read books. I am not proud of this one.
10.  I wanted to be a prima ballerina like Gelsey Kirkland growing up.  I loved being on pointe shoes.

{My daughter has my old point shoes displayed in her room!}

11. I wanted to be a back up dancer for Janet Jackson once I got into college.  Notice the dance theme?
12.  I hope my little girl will love ballet dancing as much as I did.
13.  I don't like to watch scary movies.  Being scared is not entertaining to me.
14.  My favorite movie of all time would be National Lampoons Christmas Vacation or the original Sex and the City movie.
15.  I would like to take a trip to Italy.  Probably because of the whole wine thing.
16.  If I could sing, even a little bit, I might would have pursued being a pop singer.
17.  I am missing two lower adult teeth that never came in.
18.  I tried out to be an Atlanta Falcons cheerleader but forgot the whole dance in the very last round. Needless to say, I got the boot!
19.  Me and my blog were just featured in the April issue of Atlanta Magazine.  This was a huge honor and I'm still pinching myself.

{My son Walker showing his excitement for mommy being in a magazine!}

20.  I wish my Granny were still alive to see my three children.
21.  I was co-captain of my cheerleading squad in high school.
22.  I am terrible with historical facts.  My husband quizzes me all the time and finds it amazing I can't tell you when certain wars were fought but I can tell you what celebrity is dating who!
23.  I own more than 100 lipsticks - I've quit counting.
24.  I have one tattoo and want one more. A tiny one mom and dad;)
25.  I might need to add Justin Timberlake to my teeny bopper crush list!

Any of these surprise you about me??  What would others be surprised to know about you? Have a wonderful weekend everyone!!

Bright Eyeliner Trick For Spring With Maybelline 24 Hr Tattoo Shadow

Every once and awhile I like to throw in a POP of color into my makeup routine to keep it from getting boring.  I am going to show you how I use Maybelline's newest stay put shadow product, their 24 Hr Tattoo cream gel shadow, to add that shock of color to my lash line.  I find this is one of the easiest ways to pull off a vivid shade for the slightly timid makeup wearer!!  It's all about choosing a bold color but using it in a minimalistic way.

Springtime is the perfect season to play with all sorts of fun bright makeup colors whether it be a shocking fuschia mouth, easter egg blue liner, or a cotton candy pink cheek!  So go for bright and have fun with this liner technique!  Have you tried about Maybelline's Tattoo shadow product- was it permanent enough for you??

Is Garnier's B.B. Cream Really A "Miracle" Skin Perfector?

I am a sucker for the well worded descriptions on the packing of a beauty product. And if one of those descriptions has the word "miracle" in it, well I'm sold.  Who isn't looking for a miracle when it comes to perfecting their skin??

{Garnier's "Miracle" B.B. Cream in light/medium, $10)

Since I talked about my first BB cream experience here with a sample of Smashbox's version, I've been obsessed with the idea of a multi-use skin perfecting face product.  So when I came across this much cheaper version on a Target run (this one is 10 bucks, the Smashbox is $39) and it claimed to be a miracle worker, I snagged it.

Here's my take on this skin perfector that claims to instantly:
  • renew (exactly what does that mean though?? I can't say I felt "renewed," no)
  • brighten (an ever so slight glow, slight)
  • evens (it did make my skin more even than a bare face but not as even as the Smashbox did)
  • hydrates (yes, but not enough for my super dry skin, needed an extra moisturizer. But for the normal skin person, probably just enough hydration.)
Pictures are even better than words when it comes to makeup right??  Here are some before and afters for you to decide if it worked a miracle on me or not.

 {BEFORE. I do have on concealer under my eyes, FYI}

{AFTER.  Not a huge difference, more like a tinted moisturizer in terms of coverage.}

 {Extreme close up BEFORE.}

{Extreme close up AFTER.}

I do think this product will be good for me to use in a hurry when I just need to run out the door to go to take the kids to school, the grocery store, or maybe even the pool when that time comes (it does have SPF 15 with UVA/UVB).  The only true bummer is that it only comes in 2 color options - light/medium and medium/deep.  Really??  I seriously doubt that covers a range of skin tones.  I checked out the darker version, and it's not that dark.  I might could get away with it after a good two months in the sun, and I'm no Jessica Alba, which is who it looks like it would work for!

{My AFTER AFTER with powder (to tone down shine) and blush applied.}

My overall take would be it's decent for the price (a 7 out of 10 scale), but since I can't help but compare it to the Smashbox BB Cream, I would say it's not as effective.  And it is certainly no "miracle" worker for sure.  Still on the search for my miracle beauty product....

Are you jumping on the BB cream bandwagon??  Have you tried the Garnier version??

Happy Birthday First Born

"We turn not older with years, but NEWER every day."
Emily Dickinson

{Me with the BIG 6 year old!}

Today, March 20th, is the first day of spring (yay!) but more importantly, it's the day my first born son Jack "sprung" (yes I did) into our lives!!  This little boy was the baby my hubby and I had prayed and prayed for for over two years of wanting a child and going through many heartaches, let downs, and fertility treatments.  Fortunately God has his own perfect timing and finally blessed me with the sweetest little baby boy who made me a mama 6 years ago today.  I could go on and on about this little guy and how he has enriched my life so far as well as the people around him, but I won't bore you with sappy mom stuff!!  I'm off to finish prepping for his party before this afternoon (blog post of his "baseball" themed party thanks to Pinterest to come) so I'm keeping this post short and sweet.

We couldn't ask for a more beautiful first day of spring here in Georgia - it's going to be sunny and 84- perfect day for a party!!!  Are you excited about the official first day of spring??

How I Fake Fuller Eye Brows

People ALWAYS ask me when it comes to my makeup routine, "What's the ONE thing you wouldn't leave the house without wearing?"  My response will be every time, "putting on my eyebrows!!"  I was born with amazingly thick brows (thanks Dad!!).  But, I plucked them to death in high school for some odd reason and now I spend every morning drawing them back in.  So here's my 2nd Vlog installment showing you all exactly how I fake fuller brows every single day...

Feedback :: Did you like the idea of me having one feature done all the way so that it shortened the time frame you had to watch my video - or - would you have rather me done both brows??  Let me know so that I can make these videos as helpful as possible in the future!
What brow products can you not live without??

Botani Saved My Dry Skin!

As a beauty blogger and makeup artist, one of the perks of being both is that I occasionally get treated to being sent some breakthrough skin care and beauty products.  Some products disappoint and don't live up to the hype and then there are some that blow me away.  *Botani Australia and their olive oil and pure plant skin solution products have blown my socks off!!!

{My Botani skin savior package!}

I have super dry skin all year long.  It feels tight and dry which in turn makes me feel old and crusty whenever I look at my skin with no makeup on!  Now I'll be honest, when I purchase a product for my face, I just want something 1. that works and 2. isn't tested on animals- those are about my two only necessities.  Anything else is a plus!  Botani products are dedicated to using all natural ingredients that are sensitive to all skin types and are a vegan friendly solution to skin care.   Their motto is "Green Skincare for a Greener Future."  So this company has a lot going for it, because it has all of the above descriptions, but most importantly - it worked and re hydrated my scary scaly skin!!

{My skin after 7 days of Botani usage.  I even rubbed this stuff on my lashes and neck at night!}

Now I do have on my makeup in the above picture just to be honest, but I will say, I have not needed to use my primers as often after using these products because my skin has felt so lovely and hydrated.  The two main products that showed the biggest difference in my dry skin were:

1.  Olive Skin Serum.  This product contains a high concentrated amount of "olive squalene" which apparently is key to penetrating the skin and helping it retain its moisture.  In their brochure they listed many things I agreed it did:
  •  repairs flaky skin
  • improves skin tone and texture
  • makes skin supple
  • The only thing I didn't see happen was the "soften fine lines and wrinkles"- boo hoo - still looking for that product!! I rubbed this stuff all over my face (after washing) at night and in the morning before my moisturizer and let it sink in a few minutes before applying the next product.

{My happy hydrated face and neck!}

2.  Boost Balancing Moisturiser.  This moisturizer also contained the olive squalene (this stuff must be super powered!) and was very lightweight (no SPF though) and could be worn day or night.  It helped lock that serum listed above in and kept my skin feeling very soft.  The smell was a very fresh olive scent but not overpowering or greasy smelling (like cooking oil!) that I had assumed it would be.

I give this skin care company two green thumbs up for developing a gentle and effective product!!  Have you tried any Botani products before?  What did you think?
Don't forget to check out my very 1st vlog on how to get Nicole Richie's "Fashion Star" premier makeup look! I'd love to know what you think!

*These products were sent to me by the company for consideration only.  I was not paid for this review and all opinions are personally mine and honest as always.*

Makeup Tips For Getting Nicole Richie's "Fashion Star" Look

I've been running my beauty blog for over 3 years now, and have never done a video tutorial, only still pictures...until now.  Introducing my very first JennySue Makeup VIDEO!!  After watching the premier of "Fashion Star" on NBC and seeing Nicole Richie's gorgeous makeup, I couldn't help myself but to think, "I know I could share a few makeup tips and products that would help everyone get a similar look!"  Disclaimer - This is not a full on reproduction of her look- I'm just hitting the highlights.

So, what did you think??? Remember, it was my first attempt, so be gentle with your comments, constructive criticism is welcome though! Ha!  If you liked it, share it with your friends, family, neighbors, whomever!!

Do you like the idea of JennySue Makeup videos or are you still a fan of still pictures only?  Let me know!!

Spring Break...Where's The "Break?"

My kids have their spring break off from school this week.  When I think of spring break, I envision that I'd like to appear as carefree as Marilyn frolicking on the beach...

{Isn't it nice to see a sex symbol whose thighs actually touch??}

Instead, spring break so far has consisted of a trip back to my hometown with the kids (no beach anywhere close by), a few temper tantrums, a little rain, and some hammer time...

{My husband introduced my boys to the art of hammering nails into things...anything}

Luckily I am aware that my vision of "spring break" has to change now that I'm a mom and that it's truly not my spring break to celebrate, and it's all about giving my kids a good time away from school for this week.  Even if that good time consists of some hammers and nails instead of sun and sand!

If you missed my Marilyn Monroe sultry eye liner trick, check this vintage post out.  Guess this eyeliner trick is the closest thing I'll get to being a beach babe right now:)

What's your favorite Spring Break memory?

Rockin' The Rose Gold From Head To Toe

Rose gold, rust, copper, this new pinky golden shade can be described many ways and worn by all this spring!  I've been seeing this shade popping up everywhere from makeup, to hair color, to clothing and accessories.  It's making its metal counterparts, silver and gold, look like boring has-beens!

{Lips by Black Radiance Shimmering Color in "Copper Glow"
Cheeks by Avon Be Blushed in "Golden Rose."}

When it comes to adding this hue to your makeup palette, I feel it's pretty easy for anyone to pull off in small doses.  This is because it's the best combination of warm undertones (the gold) plus the cool undertone as well (the pink).  I chose to rock the hip new color on my cheeks and lips shown above. Both rose gold products had major gold shimmer in them so the eyes were kept more flat and neutral with a taupe shadow and dark brown liner.

{Shoes by X.Appeal.}

I also chose to purchase myself these copper flats with a little bit of bling, and you know what- they go with everything I used to wear gold shoes with!  Now I have a fun new option!!

Have you gotten into the rose gold trend?  How would you wear it??

Creamsicle Nails

With it starting to truly feel like spring time due to the warmer temps rising, so begins my urge to freshen up my beauty routine by bringing in some spring-type colors.  The easiest way to do this - new pops of color on my manicure!!

{Inspired by the old school yummy frozen treat - orange Creamsicle.}

{L'Oreal "I will!" ($6) and NYC "Times square tangerine creme." ($3)}

{A true Creamsicle manicure would have been mainly orange w one white center nail, but I switched things up slightly!}

I cannot wait to paint all of my digits white in the coming months when my hands have a bit more of a tan to them, but in the meantime I love the look of adding a touch of orange to each hand for fun.  This new formula of polishes from L'Oreal promises 7 days of no chip wear, so we will see if it delivers but so far so good.  I've bought many white polishes before that looked very cheap and white-out like, but this one is rich, creamy, and sophisticated- 2 coats needed though of course!!

What color(s) are you wearing on your hands right now??

International Women's Day

March 8th is the official "International Women's Day" as I found out on the Birchbox blog (which I'm sure I've drilled into your head that I've contributed some guests posts to recently!).  And Birchbox had the great idea to honor this day with the #RockTheLips hashtag on Twitter, where they're urging all of the ladies out there, to rock their favorite red lip!!  So since I never shy away from celebrating a good holiday, here's how I'm honoring the wonderful women of the world out there...

{Lip color by tarte LipSurgence in "fiery," lip liner by Rimmel London in "red diva."}

You can't get much more feminine, womanly, girly, than a rad red pout, right??!  I've done many posts about red lips, here, here, and here!  But I'm curious...what are your current favorite red lip colors out right now?! Please share with your lady friends!!

My Favorite Makeup Moments In Spring Fashion Ad Campaigns

Ads campaigns are quick looks into exactly what's going to be hot for the season for that brand at that moment.  Major fashion houses and their campaigns would not be complete without a beautiful hair and makeup combo - no matter how good the clothes are.  I've been enjoying all of my recent spring magazine subscriptions and checking out the latest trends to look forward to. But honestly, I enjoy the ads in these magazines just as much as I do the articles and other content!  Yes, I'm also that girl that loves to watch the previews before a movie begins just as much as the actual movie.

 Here are a few of my favorite makeup moments in fashion campaigns right now.

{Gucci - photographed by Mert & Marcus}

The bleached brows on these models are probably my favorite part of the makeup in these ads.  It's not an everyday look I could pull off taking my kids to the park, unless I wanted people assuming I was an alien from outer space, but it works here.  The brows highlight the major kohl rimmed eyes and nudes lips, that would have otherwise looked completely normal and possibly boring if the brows had been left au natural.  If you want to find out how to safely lighten your brows, here's how to at home.

{Felicity Jones for Dolce & Gabbana Khol Collection, photographed by Mert & Marcus}

This ad was for Dolce & Gabbana's makeup line - specifically for their khol inspired eyes and nail collection.  I don't even know who Felicity Jones is, but she sure is pretty and I once again am drawn to the dark and shimmery eyes.  Even though she is paired with major dramatic eyes AND lips (which I usually like to pick one or the other to highlight), she pulls it off and makes it look so luxe and rich.  But even with all the dark colors shown, I'm wanting the "true white" polish look for spring!!  Good thing I found this at Target today...

{L'Oreal's nail color in "I will!"}

This $5 polish is a bit more budget friendly for this mom of the 3 than the D & G which runs around 20 bucks a pop, even though I'm sure it's worth every penny:)  And this bright white concept also segues into my final favorite ad campaign...

{Louis Vuitton, photographed by Steven Meisel}

This ad is the polar opposite from the other two I've featured in terms of color scheme.  I love love these  Louis Vuitton ads bc they look like a cheery cotton candy store with the obvious spring pastel color palette.  The bright cheeks and lips are my fave part of the look.  The prim and proper updo with tiara is also a cute touch.  And have you seen their clear LV bags, uh, to die for.  Not sure how cool they'd look with my diapers and Hot Wheels showing through though;)

What ads are catching your eye this spring?
