Ciate Caviar Manicure : Impractical Polish For Moms.

I love a fancy unconventional beauty product.  Which is why I couldn't wait for a reason to try out one of my Christmas gifts, the Ciate Caviar manicure.  What better occasion to try this look out than for my birthday yesterday?!

{Caviar pearls, funnel, and gold polish.}

This Ciate Caviar Manicure Luxe set in "gleam," $19, was honestly kind of intimidating when I opened it.  How in the world was I going to get these tiny little gold pearls on my tiny nail beds without making a huge mess??  Luckily, it was a lot easier than it looked to apply.  I figured I would start off slow the first time and just pick 2 accent nails on each hand to bling out and just paint the rest with the polish.

 {The key was to do this manicure over a paper plate to catch the fall out pearls!}

{Excuse my super dry skin - ouch!  Just wanted you to see these pearls up close and personal!}

{Driving the kids to school in sweatpants, Uggs, and then my fancy caviar nails!}

{With Flash.}

Upside.  Like I said, they're not that hard to apply at all which is a bonus.  You just paint 2 coats of the included rose gold polish (although I think it tends more bronzy yellow) then immediately sprinkle the pearls over the nail until they're covered. Then lightly press them into the nail bed until they stick. I saw that you could apply a topcoat over them, but I was afraid that would mess with the shiny finish so I didn't.  They look super cool - my kids were amazed with them, and wanted to keep touching them while asking me "HOW did you DO that??"  They look very cool and 3D.

Downside.  As a mom, I applied these last night before going to bed.  Then this morning did my usual mom stuff like tying toddler tennis shoes, loading the dishwasher, and fixing my daughters hair.  All of these normal things caused a few of the balls to immediately pop off, leaving me with weird bare spots on my nail bed.  Sad face.  This goes to show that this look is definitely only for special occasions and maybe for when you are just relaxing and not supposed to be doing anything with you hands.  Which in my case, is literally impossible.  Maybe next time I will pick accent nails that don't get as much action as my thumbs which I did this time. We might go pinky nails only next time!  Do you realize how much action your thumbs get??  They do a lot.

Have you or would you ever try the Caviar nail art trend?

Southern Living

We just got hit with a couple of inches of snow here in Georgia yesterday and you'd think we had just gotten dumped on with a few FEET of snow! Us southerners just aren't prepared for this sort of thing. We were sent scrambling for layers by adding pajama pants under jeans (no long johns of course) and trying to sled on Styrofoam boogie boards meant for water sports.
So in the spirit of southern living, here's a look at my real Southern Living magazine debut...

Vivian doing her best modeling job with this magazine her mama is in!

That's my name right there on page 32 of the February issue of this months Southern Living magazine!! Ahhhh!! It's still crazy to see my contribution to a magazine that started in 1966 and has since become the largest regional lifestyle publication in the U.S. - that stat found on Wiki of course.

I was honored to have been asked to help with their "Beauty Icon" page which highlights a southern Hollywood icon and tells the readers how to recreate the look.  I was given this black and white photo of actress Joanne Woodward (so yes I had to use my imagination and think about the era it was from) and shared some of my favorite products that could help give it a modern day spin.  I'm sure if you read my recommendations and you've been following my blog for awhile, you'd recognize 85% of these products I've "oohed and ahhed" about many times before, from the YSL creme de blush to a great red lipstick.

Well now that school has been cancelled for this snow day, I've got to keep us all from going stir crazy inside.  So it's time to bundle everyone up and figure out how to function and play in all of this cold white stuff!! Southern living at its finest.

Review :: The Esqido Mink Lash Experience

I've worn a lot of lashes in my life.  Strip lashes, individual clumps, I've even had lash extensions put in.  But nothing compares to this Esqido lash experience...nothing.  Check out the photos then I'll explain.

Right off the bat, these lashes are ethically sourced.  This means that even though they are made of real mink fur, this fur is collected from the natural shedding of the animal.  No animals are harmed in the making of these lashes.  Thank goodness, now we can get onto the good stuff.

I received 3 different styles of lashes from the 9 that they offer in the collection :
1. "Unforgettable" (most natural volume)
2.  "BFF" (medium volume) *These are the ones I'm wearing in this post*
3.  "Lashmopolitan" (maximum volume) *This is the style shown in the very first pic of this post.*

Highlights of my experience wearing these :
  • They come in beautiful reusable white boxes, so it makes it easy to restore them after use.
  • You can use these babies up to 25 times!!! That's a whole bunch more than my cheaper counterpart strip lashes I'm used to wearing that look pretty sad after the 4th or 5th time I've used them.
  • They are very lightweight, super soft, and have a flexible cotton band.  Which means overall comfort!
  • They range between $34 and $42 dollars a pair. Which might sound like a lot, but not if you consider you can wear them 25 times - that's less than $2 each time you sport them!

How I applied them :

1. I did all of my eye makeup as usual, right down to curling my natural lashes then applying one coat of mascara.
2. Took the lashes off and bended the band back and forth a few times to loosen it up a little.
3.  I then used my own lash glue by Duo, and applied a thin layer along the band by using a Qtip dipped in the glue.

4.  Let the glue sit for about 15-30 seconds, then started applying them from the inside near the tear duct and pressing outward with a flat set of tweezers to flatten the band as close to my lash line as possible.
5. Sit back and relish how gorgeous these things look on.

Oh, and did I mention that femme fatales like Beyonce, Jennifer Lopez, and Oprah have also sported mink lashes? Oh yeh.  Visit Esqido Mink Lashes to see more about these luxe fringes.

Have you ever experienced the difference of mink lashes?

*These lashes were sent to me for consideration only by Esqido.  All opinions, thoughts, and ramblings are honest and my own...as always.*

Everything Is Coming Up Roses

Left : Elie Saab rose print dress from the 2014 Spring/Summer collection

"Roses are red, violets are blue, everything is coming up roses in style and beauty, so why don't you?"

Okay, I'm not the best wordsmith when it comes to rhyming, but I have been seeing a patter of rose-based items popping up in my beauty routine lately!! And what female doesn't love the smell and look of roses??  There was even an article posted on Huffington Post Style, HERE, on the many benefits of rosewater in beauty products.

Here are a few of my favorite beauty related ROSE items from above and what I use them for:

1. Rosewater & Glycerin, $7 :  This stuff has been labeled as "aromatherapy" water because it's supposed to be calming and soothing due to the smell and the "vortex" water.  I like to use this product to refresh my skin during the day or after a workout by just spritzing my face. The glycerin component is soothing for my dry skin.

2.  Smith's Rosebud Salve, $6 :  This isn't anything new, I've used this product for years.  I remember the first time I picked one up was from my fave store Anthropologie and have been hooked ever since.  And it's not just for lips - oh no, it's all purpose!  For chapped hands and fingers, diaper rash, rough cuticles, anything dry!  And yes, it smells like roses.  I like the tin aspect because it doesn't break off like most chapsticks do (and it looks vintage-y!) but they actually do make it in a tube now also.

3.  Korres Wild Rose + Vitamin C Advanced Brightening Sleeping Facial, $48 :  I've been reading a lot lately on how good Vitamin C is for our skin.  So when I when I was at Sephora the other day and used that nifty little screen gadget thing looking for a VC product for my skin (have you used that touch screen btw yet?? it's SO cool!) it suggested this one and it got lots of stars for its rating.  It's a night time cream that is supposed to deliver brighter skin over time and help with discoloration, thanks to the Vitamin C.  The rose component is just a plus I think due to the smell of this cream - it's scrumptious and smells like a delicate rose.  Not overpowering at all.  My skin always feels awesome the next morning I wake up from using it.

And of course it wouldn't be a JennySue post without some actual makeup love!  My favorite product with the name ROSE actually in it, would have to be this magical shimmery blush I highlight my cheekbones with...

I also love the idea of wearing rose prints when the temps warm up.  I know roses could go very wrong and look like something from your grandma's house, but when done right, I think it could look very sophisticated and girly!  I'd try something like this tunic dress or these printed jeans!

Do you get into the ROSE themed beauty and style items popping up

Product Review & Giveaway! : Motions Hair 3 Step Straight Finish System

*This is a sponsored post through Lunchbox for Motions Hair*  If you've been following me for awhile, or even looked at a few posts, you've noticed I don't have curly hair.  It slightly bends at best when air dried.  So when I received this box full of hair products that were specifically for women with natural curls, well, I didn't want this system to go to waste on my boring limp hair.  I figured I've got some curly & wavy haired readers out there who might like some attention!  So I did something I haven't done yet on my blog until now...I reviewed a product based on someone ELSE'S experience!

 Cleanser | Leave-In Conditioner | Shine Sealer

This before/after visual of my models hair speaks for itself going from
super wavy to stick straight using this system.

Right off the bat, it's obvious my model is not African American, which most of these Motions products are generally marketed towards. However, my friend Ashley, has naturally wavy and uber thick hair (jealous) so she took this system for a ride then gave me her personal feedback. Obviously there are women of all ethnicity's out there with wavy and curly textures along with dry coarse hair that could use this system just as easily.

We chatted on how this shampoo, conditioner, shine serum, and flat iron worked for her as compared to her usual straightening and cleansing routine after she used them.  Here is her feedback:

1. Straight Finish Cleanser - the smell was awesome, although I wish I could tell you exactly what it smells like other than super fresh and lightly fragranced.  It's creamy white formula is obvious right off the bat that it is more hydrating for drier and thicker hair types. It includes ingredients like shea butter and keratin protein.  Not good for thin or regular weighted hair, FYI.  It will weigh it down.

2.  Straight Finish Leave-In Conditioner - She applied a tiny dime sized amount of this product  just at the very tips of her hair before she let it air dry (bc she could tell her hair felt a little slicker than normal just after shampooing).  She said she had NEVER used a leave in conditioner before!  This formula also includes great ingredients like argan oil and keratin protein.

3.  Straight Finish Sealer -  (Disclaimer to you non-curly/wavy/thick hair types I actually did try out this product for myself and really liked it! I just used a teeny tiny amount at the tips of my hair before blow drying and it sealed it nicely and created some good shine).  Ashley applied just a drop of this to the ends once again so as not to get any more greasy feeling and since the tips of the hair are more broken anyway than the roots. This product helps before you flat iron with heat so it helps to control less frizz, promote smoothing, and of course, SHINE SHINE SHINE!

*Overall rating from my wavy haired friend - She gave the 3 part hair care system a 4 out of 5 (5 being awesome) and the iron a 5 out of 5.*

What the big deal about this system is that for you ladies with extreme curls is, these 3 hair care products help to keep your natural curls coming back to their brilliance even after your next shampoo from straightening with compromising your natural texture.

GIVEAWAY TIME!  So where are all of my CURLY HAIRED LADIES OUT THERE??
If this post spoke to you and you love taking care of your natural texture but dig going straight every once in awhile, I am now running a TWITTER SWEEPSTAKES through Friday January the 24th to where 5 lucky ladies will win this same 3 Part Heat Styled System shown above (no flat iron included) just by

  • Tweeting a link to this post with the hashtags #Curly2Straight or #MotionsHair,
  • or REtweeting any of my tweets you will see throughout the next 3 days!  That's it!!

Or if you just want to go out and buy these products for yourself you can find a store near you here :

GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!!
(This was a SPONSORED POST through Lunchbox for Motions Hair.  However all thoughts, opinions, ratings, and photos are honest and original by me and my friend who used these products!)

Spring Makeup Trends To Look Forward To

I don't sit front row at any of the Fashion Week runway shows (maybe some day though, fingers crossed).  The closest I get is flipping through the pages of my beauty mags and clicking through my favorite high fashion blog sites of people that don't seem to have kids, their homes/apartments are spotless with cute small dogs, and they eat fresh fruit every morning for breakfast as shown on Instagram!!  HA!!  (not the slight bit jealous right??)  So here's a breakdown of what I have gathered will be "hot" in makeup when we "spring forward"...

1. SUN KISSED SKIN : @DOLCE & GABBANA

2. WHITE SILVERY EYES : @MAX MARA

3. ORANGE LIPS : @DSQUARED

4. PASTEL EYESHADOW : LELA ROSE

Of course, none of these come as true surprises or shockers.  These trends usually pop up when the temps get warmer.
  • We figure red is too deep for spring, so let's bring on the fresh pop of orange. Here's my favorite orange lipstick I blogged on here.
  • Dark brown shadows feel like cold bare branches of trees that have lost their color, so let's go the opposite route to white bright eyes!  Oldie post I did on white eyeliner here.
  • Of course we want to get out of the pale factor and get a little bit of vitamin D to show up, so bronzed and beautiful skin is the way to go.  My favorite way to fake a tan is with this product blogged on here.
  • And pastels are the ultimate Easter and flowery shades that signify spring, so bring on the lavenders and chartreuse's! One of my favorite pastel shadow combo looks I did here.

The trend that I reeaaaally love that seems to stick around EVERY fashion season, is the winged cat eye look.  It makes any eye shape appear lifted and fresh and can be worn with all of the above looks combined!  I seriously don't go a day without wearing some version of a winged eye - from subtle to dramatic.  It's my FAVE.  Here's an extreme take on winged eyes I tried out here!

 5. WINGED CAT EYE : @TRACY REESE

Which one of these looks are you most excited about and will you be sporting when the flowers start blooming?

My Mommy Style Must Haves

These photos are from a couple of weeks ago, but I've probably repeated this style twice since then...

{The only way to check hair and makeup - with an iPhone car selfie!}

My #1 job since March 2006 (the month/year my first born arrived on this earth) has been to be the best mom I can be to my 3 children.  And for me to be that mom, I have to feel my best.  This means having a go-to look (makeup & outfit) I know I can count on to make me feel like I've got it together...even when I don't!  It's kind of like the whole airplane analogy of "put on your oxygen mask first before you can help others"...So True.  Mom needs to look decent in order to tackle temper tantrums and breakdowns out in public.

{Mall bathroom outfit selfie check. Sephora bag compliments the outfit -ha!
If you follow me on Instagram, you're seeing this for the 2nd time!}

As a mom who is constantly on the go (which aren't ALL of us moms going going going??), I know my limits and what makes me look put together in a jiffy but isn't so complicated I can't function with my kids in tow.

My mom style breakdown looks a little like this :

1. Denim.  #1 mom must have.  Lately distressed denim makes me feel a bit more hip now that I'm approaching another birthday.  But not TOO distressed where I look like I was attacked by wolves. These are by Miss Me.

2.  Black.  No, I don't wear black like Angelina Jolie wears black (all the time!) but when I need to throw a color on quickly that makes me feel sophisticated and not look like I'm trying to hard, black is the way to go.  Plus black doesn't show kid stains as easily from Pop Tarts and spilled chocolate milk.

3. Leather Jacket.  I am obsessed with leather jackets.  I have a few colored ones but my go-to are my 2 black ones - one with 3/4 length sleeves (for springtime) and a long sleeved one.  Again, this mom needs to have a cool factor in her wardrobe, and a leather jacket says that with ease. Similar style to my Free People biker jacket here.

4.  Big stud earrings.  The ones I'm wearing are called the "Nancy Studs" from Stella & Dot here.  They go with everything and are 100% fake.  I lose earrings like I lose my kids socks in the washer and dryer.  I know my limits and will probably never ask for real diamond earrings for fear I'll lose them.  But these look amazing and go with ANY outfit. And they don't make me nervous to wear for only $24.

5.  Makeup style.  The products I'm wearing in the above car pics are the ones I wear when I'm in a time crunch and aren't feeling especially creative in my makeup choices.  I had to leave for Atlanta at 8am in the morning after getting all 3 kids to school beforehand, so I went for my favorite neutral look...

Products used:
MAC Studio Finish concealer (skin)
Sonia Kashuk Arch Alert Kit (brows, mentioned here)
The original Naked palette (eyeshadow)
Urban Decay 24/7 glide on liner in Zero (inner waterline liner)
Palladio Precision lip liner in Salmon (liner)
Revlon Super Lustrous lipstick in Pink Cognito (lipcolor)

Oh, and no outfit is complete without a slouchy hobo style purse (I can't get enough of my newest Hobo purchase) full of lollipops, PlayDoh (for keeping kids busy at restaurants), and baby wipes even though everyone is out of diapers - they're still good for clean ups, sticky hands, and makeup removal.  Speaking of mommy style, one of my favorite mommy sites to check out is ElizabethStreet.com.  Remember my mom style diary they featured here? These old pics make me want my bangs back.

Bargain Beauty Products That Trick You Into Thinking They're Expensive

Drugstore makeup has gotten reealllly good lately.  There are a lot of bargain beauty buys that can get you looking like a million dollars without having to pay that.

I rarely wear a bunch of pricey makeup on my face all at once, kind of like the way I work my wardrobe.  (To be honest, I don't own much designer clothing, but if I did, I don't think I'd wear it head to toe! Ask me again in 20 years if I ever get to that point where my bank account allows me to do so or my kids are out of college- ha!!) I get into mixing my drugstore beauty products with my higher end department store ones.  For example, a really expensive jacket can make the plainest tee shirt and your favorite Gap jeans look like a really hip and complete outfit! Same goes for combining your makeup price points on your face.

Here is a roundup of 7 of my favorite beauty products that play tricks like they're expensive.
*Psst, all of these are UNDER 10 bucks too!*

1.  Revlon PhotoReady Kajal Intense Eye Liner + Brightener, $7.79.  These double ended liners are awesome because the colored side (comes in green, blue, purple, and black) of the pencil has great deep pigments that go on easily without having to drag them over your lash line multiple times.  The opposite end has a coordinating brightener that you use in your inner waterline to brighten up the whites of the eyes!  This is a go-to liner for me, just wish they would come out with a brown shade.  Hint hint Revlon;)

2.  Maybelline Dream Lumi Touch Highlighting Concealer, $7.99.  This concealer is almost an exact knockoff to the popular YSL Touche Eclat that costs 6 times as much!  Its gel based formula that glides on easily with the click pen has illuminating properties as well as it conceals.  You can use this for underye circles as well as for highlight the bridge of the nose, tops of the brows, and around the mouth.  Pretty much everywhere!

3.  NYX Stay Matte But Not Flat Powder, $9.99.  This one was cutting it close price wise, but just made the cut! I use this on all of my clients to set their foundation and concealer with.  It has amazing an finish and helps to keep the annoying "greasy face" look down throughout the day!  I use the rolling method when I apply this powder to press it into the face instead of swiping it and the powder sitting on top of the skin.

I just couldn't resist sharing this old Ulta ad.

4.  L'Oreal Infallible Lip Gloss, $8.89.  I've been using this gloss for over 4 years now and continue to love it.  It's got a great glossy finish and stays put better than any other gloss I've tried without drying out your lips.  The shade selection is also vast with great nudes, corals, pinks, plums to cherry red.

5.  Sonia Kashuk Arch Alert, $9.99. Another close call price wise, but worth every penny.  This colored brow wax palette consists of 4 shades from blonde, 2 shades of brown, and red, there's a color for everyone. It's the perfect way to get stay put brow hairs while also adding color to fill in sparse areas without the difficult use of a pencil.  This colored brow wax looks super natural.  When I run out of the darkest brown, I just use the lighter brown and blonde waxes, and dip into a similar brown eyeshadow, mix, and get the same result!

6.  Sonia Kashuk Beautifying Blush, $9.79.  I'm typically a blush snob (I like the higher priced department store ones), but this drugstore one blows me away.  The available SK shades are all gorgeous and very wearable, and give that bright pop of color I always look for in a blush. They seem finely milled and give a really pretty finish.

7.  L'Oreal Voluminous Mascara, $5.89.  Again, I've used this product for years and years and continues to be a go-to mascara for me.  Since I buy a  new tube at least every 3 months (as you should bc of the bacteria that grows so quickly in these wet tubes) it's nice I've got a favorite that is so reasonably priced.  It gives me length and volume in one.

What are some of your favorite $10 and under drugstore buys?

Hottest Pink Lipstick On The Market : Nars "Schiap"

I have officially found the hottest pink lip color on the market.  And it's actually been out for quite a few years...better late than never right?!

As a point of reference, here is how this shade looks on a few different skin tones like Katy and Kim.  Looks amazing on both of them right??  I have been coveting this shade for awhile but for some reason kept buying knockoff versions by drugstore brands because I just didn't think I would wear this color that much.  Wow, was I wrong.  This color makes me so happy when I put it on.  And that says a lot about a lipstick.

Why "Schiap" is worth every penny :
* the semi matte formula.  not shiny, not super flat and matte, a great in-between which makes this bold color look very sophisticated.
* it stays put.  for a lipstick that isn't necessarily marketed as long wear, it is! and when it fades, it fades evenly, not weirdly from the center leaving a ring around the mouth. you know what I mean.
* it feels great.  since it is semi matte, you'd think it would dry out your lips, but it doesn't. Its actually got a comfortable, hydrating, and velvety feel.
* the color.  best of all. SUPER. HOT.VIVID. FUCHSIA. It's not for the faint of heart.

How to wear it :
Unlike my counterparts Kim and Katy, I chose to sport this hot shade with minimal additional makeup.  I even omitted eyeliner, which I never do.  But I didn't want any competition with this lipstick, I wanted it to be front and center!! And boy was it.
(My makeup : Brows filled in with Anastasia Brow Wiz in Brunette, my eyeshadows are by Naked 2 palette, and my cheeks in YSL Creme de Blush #7.)
However, the other ladies are both are wearing full on lashes and smokey eyes.  Kim wears it with dark browns and blacks, and Katy with icy silver shadows.  Proof, this lipstick adjusts to whatever look you want to wear!

History :
I was curious as to where exactly Nars got this unique name for his lipstick.  Turns out Schiap was inspired by designer Elsa Schiaparelli.  She had created a perfume called "Shocking" in 1936 and it was noticed for its shocking pink box and packaging.  Apparently Nars liked this shade so much, he decided to name his famous pink lipstick after her by shortening her name.

Just however you wear Schiap, wear it with confidence and the world will smile with you. And they will also ask you what shade of lipstick that is you're wearing!!

Have you discovered this hot pink shade yet?

Bold Color Ruled The 2014 Golden Globe Red Carpet

The Golden Globes are always my favorite awards show to watch because the celebrities aren't just sitting stiffly in their auditorium seats looking bored the entire time.  They eat, drink (lots of champagne!), and chat at circular tables and just seem to have a good ole time!

Bright lipped ladies from left to right, top to bottom:
Taylor, Lupita, Sofia, Leah, Zooey, and Jennifer

And of course the red carpet pre-show is my favorite part of the whole thing to watch as opposed to the actual show, because you really get to see everyone in their outfits from head to toe!  And this year, the bold, bright, and colorful lips caught my attention.  I love the confidence it takes to wear a striking lip - I feel it's a bolder move than even a smokey eye and is a definite attention grabber.

Shop these BOLD lip colors that mimic the
reds, oranges, and fuchsia's seen on the red carpet :

And even though I am always so into what the makeup trends are on the carpet, there were some dresses that caught my eye.  Here are my top 3 favorite dresses which also followed suit in the bold color category.  And what I liked about these dresses was that they weren't fussy at all, just impeccable fits, in striking colors.

#1. Olivia Wilde in Gucci.

#2.  Lupita Nyong'o in Ralph Lauren.

#3. Julie Bowen in Carolina Herrera.

How To Get Your Best Bridal Makeup Look

How does one nail the best bridal makeup look for their big day? It starts with a really simple concept.  And it doesn't require you to think about specific techniques or products...that's for your makeup artist to figure out!

{The ultimate 21st century modern bride - Princess Kate.}

Here's my advice, ready..."Go for a slightly more glamorous version of your natural everyday makeup."

Yep, that's it.

Think Kate Middleton at her wedding (I know she's a princess, but she's still a real person like you and me!).  Her makeup was traditional, timeless, and it reflected her usual everyday look we are used to seeing her in but it was bumped up a notch (bold lashes, brighter blush, flawless complexion).

Unless you are more of the type that wears wild, crazy, and colorful makeup on a daily basis (then you go girl), don't go wild and crazy with your makeup on your wedding day.  You'll just look back at those pictures 30-40 years down the road when you're showing them to your grandchildren, and go "WHAT was I thinking, and WHO is that girl??"  If you've never worn a bright red lip in your life, don't try to pull it off on your wedding day.  It's not the time (plus red lips are super high maintenance, so you have to be willing to commit to the effort into keeping it up).

Here are some specific examples of timeless makeup looks to show you what I mean.  All looks created by ME!

When you look at these girls, I don't want you to think, "WOW, that's some good makeup."  I want you think, "WOW, they look so happy and beautiful."  Of course you want to look more glamorous on your wedding day than any other day of the year, I TOTALLY get that.  But you also want the people attending your wedding, or more importantly your groom, to recognize you walking down the aisle and not wondering who that smokey eyed fuchsia lipped vixen is!

So when meeting with your makeup artist about your wedding face (trial runs are a really good idea, because you don't want the surprise on your big day to come in the form of your makeup!), make sure you tell them your everyday makeup style and routine to start off with. Are you a minimalist by heart, wear moderate amounts of makeup everyday, or do you go for the gusto with a full on Kardashian face just heading to the grocery store! This will help your artist know where you're coming from and where to go from there.  That being said, don't be surprised when it takes a lot of makeup, to pull off a "naturally" enhanced look:)

Here are some specific bridal makeup posts I've done in the past, here, here, and here.
