{These images on my coffee table scream FALL!}
It’s still hot and humid as all get out here in Georgia, so seeing the pages of some of my August issues of InStyle, Lucky, and Glamour, make me sweat just looking at their pages of wool and tights. Of course in addition to the laying, tall boots, jackets, and heavy fabrics, I’m staring at the faces of the models donning these fall looks to see what makeup trends are in store for the cooler weather.
My early overview of FALL BEAUTY : It seems to be a lot of fresh faced glowy skin with deep dark makeup colors focused on either eyes or lips, never both. And hair is all about different variations of the ponytail and bun, plus loose non-fussy hair. For more examples of fall beauty looks taken from New York Fashion Week for 2013, you can check out this link from HarpersBazaar.com showing some top looks from the runways.
The colors I personally will want to try for fall:
- Forrest green nail polish, like Deborah Lippman’s “Billionaire,” ($18)
- Deep burgundy + burnt amber eyeshadows, like Tom Ford’s Beauty Eye Color Quad in “Burnished Amber,” ($75).
- Black cherry-like lipcolor such as, Maybelline’s Super Stay lipstick in “Wine and Forever,” ($7).
By the way, I’ve seen the word “oxblood” thrown around again…
