With the upcoming winter weather quickly approaching, my lips are already feeling its arrival – tough, dried out, and cracked. Ouch. So after much research and asking around, I decided to invest in two products I’ve heard great things about…
I am THRILLED with the results of using the tarte exfoliant at nighttime before hitting the sheets and then my Baby Lips throughout the daytime. I’m already touting these two beauty products as the perfect stocking stuffers which you can buy from Ulta as linked below.
The tarte exfoliant is a clear balm with tiny little exfoliators of raw sugar in a balm that has a pleasant and light peppermint smell. It sloughs away the dryness and then hydrates your lips with pure maracuja oil and vitamin C. It feels heavenly on and isn’t too harsh at all in terms of exfoliating. And the little purple and gold tin it comes in is just so fancy!
The Baby Lips Dr. Rescue is almost gone and I’ve only had it for a week!!! I am obsessed with applying it all the time, even under my glosses and lipsticks. I bought the coral shade which gives the most subtle hint of color ever I’d almost categorize it as clear, which is honestly ok bc it doesn’t adjust my lip shade choices. It too gives a slight tingle sensation of peppermint. I definitely want to purchase these in some darker shades and see how they look alone.
After doing this routine of exfoliant and baby lips for over a week, I am able to sport my dark lipsticks with confidence because my bare lips looks so good and smooth!! (You know there’s nothing worse than applying a dark bold lip product on top of dry cracked lips – yuck.) My new favorite cranberry red lippie is this one by MAC in “Dare You,” $14.50. It’s the perfect deep creamy red that feels very holiday-ish!!
