Most importantly, I am an aunt again!! My sis n law just had her second baby, and now I have a sweet little niece. I got to visit her this weekend, and just had to be a proud aunt and post a couple pics of me with my niece Elise.
Elise with her favorite aunt!! Me!!
Isn't she GORGEOUS??!!
*A little baby product plug before makeup talk begins* I bought her a pack of Aden & Anais muslin swaddle blankets- they are the bomb! My sis n law gave them to me when I had my little girl, (check out these photos of my daughter taken by Dylan Blue Photography wrapped in her A & A blankies) and you can't beat these lightweight and most perfect swaddling blankets. I should know since I'm on my 3rd child, and I would only recommend these things- and their prints are to die for cute!! The perfect shower gift.
Since it's been such a busy week, the only way I have found to enjoy some downtime has been to read thru a couple celeb magazines I've had piling up on my coffee table.
The cover of an old US weekly had this picture of Sandra Bullock on the front (who I find hilarious and beautiful) that caught my eye and inspired me to try out her gunmetal colors on myself (she has brown peepers like me.) If you have brown eyes, I have found thru trial and error, that shimmery silvers, greys, and gunmetals make brown peepers pop nicely.
Up close of Sandra's smokey peepers.
JennySue's up close Sandy peeper look!
Products used for Sandra's smokey look:
Eyes: Kat Von D. True Romance Palette in Love and Fury.
"holy bible" (silvery blue color) used from lash line to crease and along tear duct area and lower
lash line. "glock" (dark gunmetal grey with shimmer) used on top of black eyeliner to smudge
and soften.
Too Faced shadow in "velvet revolver" (deep taupe) used just in the crease on the outer corners.
Rimmel London eyeliner in black used along upper and lower lash lines on the inner rim.
Mary Kay Ultimate mascara- two coats.
Skin: Maybelline Dream Smooth Mousse in creamy natural.
Cheeks: MAC's "fleur power" blush with Estee Lauder "tender petal" blush on top. Keep this color
high on the cheeks for a super flushed look. Becca's shimmer powder in "mermaid" used on
my upper cheekbones for an ethereal glow from within!! Ha!!
Lips: BeautiControl lip shimmer in "blushing coral." It's not quite as pink as her lip color is, but it was
close.
