Last night I accomplished something I had only dreamed of doing in the past 10 years of my freelance makeup career – I finished putting on my first ever makeup master class. It was SO MUCH WORK, but ended up being SO MUCH FUN. After the initial stage jitters and seeing how engaged the room full of 80+ women were, it got lots easier. Here’s a sneak peek of some iPhone pics and a few from my photographer from the night…

{Cupcakes with lip sprinkles of course!}
{Hand gestures are a must.}

Of course there were things that didn’t go as planned – the time schedule ran a little over (I really could have used 4 hours instead of 2 to teach!), I didn’t get to do as much audience participation as I had wanted, and there were a few tips/tricks I didn’t have time to share (maybe that means do another one!), but overall it was more than I had expected. This was no strict-boring-by the rules-type class atmosphere, we’ll leave that to the cosmotology schools. It was meant to be a fun ladies night out on top of the real life makeup tips the everyday woman could apply to her daily routine. They even got introduced to the world of PRIMP by it’s founder Caroline Van Sickle. So now they all know how to simplify their shopping experience for beauty products with the help of this amazing app! Have you downloaded this yet??
{My lovely audience!}
I hope every single woman that came enjoyed herself as much as I did, and went away with more makeup knowledge than she came with. I will have lots more professional pictures to come once my photographer gets thru editing, but in the meantime check this wonderful link out to OnlineAthens.com, which is our local paper that highlighted my event last night in their “Spotted” category to get another peak into the evenings events.
BIG THANKS TO: Hotel Indigo (awesome event space & gift donation), Athens Video (made it possible for every person to see my demo going on stage), Dylan Blue Photography (for capturing the details of the night), Republic Salon (for donation of haircut to an attendee and for my rockin’ hair do!), Flirt Fashions (for my ensemble and many donations), Hold Me Bag (donated 2 makeup bags, which made 2 ladies very happy!), Radiant Cosmetics, East West Bistro, and Silver Lining Cupcake Co (all donated products & services to attendees), and of course PrettyInMyPocket for adding extra beauty value to evening!
Now, I’m going to relax this weekend and focus on getting my kids ready for back to school next week!! What are you doing this weekend??
