I am always learning. Everyday, about EVERYTHING. I would never consider myself a know-it-all when it comes to motherhood, makeup artistry, or being the perfect wife. I know just enough to make me dangerous in all categories. I believe one can ALWAYS learn from others and their experiences, triumphs, mistakes, and talents! Never stop schooling yourself in areas you want to be better in.
So in the spirit of learning about BEAUTY and giving praise to some other notable fellow blogger sites, I thought I would share the links to some of my recent favorite blog posts that I think you will enjoy. If nothing else, you’ll find them entertaining or go away with a tidbit more than you knew before you read this post! Consider it a quick lesson in beauty school…

And I saved the best for last, this post on HuffingtonPost.com, “Pretty Is Not A Four- Letter Word.” This one is by far my favorite and was just passed along to me by one of my dear friends who knew that this would ring my bell. It is a MUST READ. It’s not a makeup tutorial or product review, but a reminder to all of us girls/females/momsofdaughters, that it’s OK to be called pretty or even pay someone else a pretty compliment without feeling we are undermining them. I tell my sweet 3 year old above, all day, everyday, that she is pretty. And no, I never feel guilty about it because it makes her smile and builds her confidence in her appearance. I’m okay with her being a girly girl who likes to take kissy selfie pictures above. But you’ll also notice in her hand, a clump of grass and dirt she was enjoying playing with that she wouldn’t let go of when it was time to snap a pic! I believe my daughter is already very well rounded. She’s tough when she needs to be defending herself from her wild and crazy 5 & 7 year old brothers, but sweet and caring to her baby dolls, would read books all day if she could, and likes wearing sparkly shoes while playing in the dirt.
Who says we can’t be pretty AND smart at the same time? Of course WE CAN BE!
