Everyone is getting pretty pumped about July 4th. I know this because I have seen the famous color combo of red, white, and blue EVERYWHERE!! From the web, where many fashion bloggers are putting together their fave outfits filled with stars/striped printed blouses along with white jeans telling you “what to wear to a BBQ,” to the grocery store where I (along with countless others in line) had carts filled with food goodies, sparklers, and lots of cold beer for outdoor activities yesterday. Which leads me to share with you this hilarious saying I found on Pinterest…shocker.
My Personal Best Of The Red, White, And Blue
Since I am no fashion blogger (I would be horrible at the posing!) and I’m not going to tell you to wear blue lipstick or red shadow together (both extremely bad ideas, and red lipstick and blue eye shadow would be the obvious boring combo), I figured I would share with you my favorite red, white, and blue moments from around my house. Each photo contains a little bit of sparkle-r in it.
{RED}
This is the coffee table the hubby and I have had since we first got married almost 11 years ago. It used to be a sad brown wood color, but we recently gave it a face lift by painting it a high glossy RED! This is what the top of it typically looks like with fairy wings and Hot Wheels. Thanks to my resident interior decorator friend Alice for giving me the inspiration to do this!
{WHITE}
These beauties are my latest and greatest footwear buy from Target, and they were only $15 – whaattt???!! I first found them over at one of my fave blogger sites, Andee of The Honeybee, and had to have a pair for myself. These are labeled “white” on the box but actually tend to go more to the cream side, but I don’t care. Either way, I loves them and they seriously go with everything in my closet. It looks like I have halos around my feet in this pic doesn’t it??
{BLUE}
Speaking of America’s birthday, check out the tee my hubby was wearing last night!! How appropriate! It’s Captain America if you don’t recognize this figure, and yes he was wearing the matching red, white, and blue Braves hat (home of the brave, land of the free??), and yes I made him put on my very large obnoxious red shades for comedy relief. He’s such a good sport.
There you have it – my personal best of the red, white, and blue.
Tell me, which one of my patriotic color combo pics was your favorite??
