I can’t resist makeup packaged in a fun, fancy, and shiny way. I’m female. We like beautiful things right??

So today I want to know HOW or IF packaging influences your beauty purchases?? Do you gravitate towards more department store makeup because you know the compact or tube will look beautiful on your vanity or when you pull it out at a dinner party to reapply? Or do all the bells and whistles matter nothing to you as long you get a good product on the inside?
My mother always told me never to “judge a book by its cover,” so obviously this applies to my sweet drugstore brands that might not have the shiny tubes and engraved lettering but have a really stellar product inside!! But on the flip side, I can’t deny that I don’t feel a little more girly and fancy when I apply my Chanel lip gloss. Of course I always like a good deal and would rather not pay upwards of 40 bucks on my lip color, but if I do, I want the outside to be just as pleasing to look at in the packaging as it is on my face!!
What do you think? Are you a fancy or no-frills packaging kind of girl??
