“Mirror Mirror on the wall, who is the fairest one of all?”
{Amazing what makeup, hair, + a costume can do!}

I know, it’s NOT Halloween yet, and NO I didn’t just accept a position at Disney World. So why would I attempt to look like Snow White in the middle of summer??
In a nutshell, one of my bestest girlfriends asked if I’d be willing last minute to dress up like a Disney princess for her two daughter’s joint princess birthday party (she was dressing up like Belle and had her girls grandmother dress up as the Fairy Godmother!). As most people know, I love a good costume and I love a good makeup transformation, so she didn’t have to ask twice! Plus, I knew since Vivian would also be attending the party, she would get a real kick out of mommy dressed up like Snow White!
Here are the tools I used to become the fairest one of all:
- my friend hooked me up with the actual costume, similar style here.
- I watched this Kandee Johnson YouTube video on how to do Snow White hair + makeup at least 4 times! (Viv loooved watching it too bc she actually sings! I couldn’t go that far!) If I had just left my hair long, it wouldn’t have looked as realistic, so the hair was the biggest challenge. But Kandee does a great job explaining how to pull to make your long locks into a short princess bob with a curling iron and bobby pins!
- I cut the waist off a red t-shirt to tie around my hair bc I didn’t have an actual bow. Last minute detail that worked great because it had a bit of stretch to it!
- Here are the actual products I used for my princess face:
Skin – L’Oreal True Match foundation in N2 (2 shades lighter than my current summer color),
Wet n’ Wild Coverall pressed powder in “light,” and Benefit Erase Paste in “Fair.”
Eyes – Too Faced Cosmetics Matte Eye Collection, Lancome eyeliner in “Black Coffee,” Ardell Natural lashes in Babies Black, Lancome Hypnose Star mascara, Stila “topaz” Kajal eyeliner (not pictured) for inner waterline.
Cheeks – Sonia Kashuk blush in “flamingo”
Lips – Kate Moss for Rimmel “Kiss of Life” Lasting Finish lipstick
I had a blast recreating this look (glad I didn’t have to buy a wig or dye my hair!) and I’m thinking of reprising my role as Snow White when Halloween actually rolls around in a couple months!
